Crown Princess Mary attended the Baum und Pferdgarten fashion show at the Copenhagen Interntional Fashion Festival (commonly known as CIFF) yesterday.

Pieter has been Diagnosed with Recidive Skin Cancer
Professor Mr Pieter van Vollenhoven, the husband of Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, has been diagnosed with recidive skin cancer. He underwent surgery to remove the malignant tissue at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in Amsterdam which specialises in cancer treatment. This is the fifth time Pieter has been diagnosed with cancer, and he is now under closer watch than ever.

Margrethe & Henrik's Press Conference in France
Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik held their annual press conference at their French Chateau in Cahors on August 7th.
The pair were asked about their son, Prince Joachim's, relationship with the French-born Marie Cavallier, and while the Queen declined to comment on the rumors of an impending engagement, she did reveal that she had met with Marie and that she was pleased for her son.

Joachim & Marie at Rolling Stones Concert
Following their appearance at the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix, Prince Joachim and Marie Cavallier attended the Rolling Stones concert at the Parken.

Prince Joachim and his girlfriend, Marie Cavallier, attended the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix on August 4th and 5th. Joachim was also participating in the event - but was involved in a minor crash and withdrew from the rest of the race. The Prince was not injured, just embarassed and slightly shaken.

Frederik at the Homeless World Cup
Yesterday, Crown Prince Frederik attended the 5th Homeless World Cup final in Copenhagen. He watched on as Scotland defeated Poland 9-3.

Upcoming State Visits - The Next Three Months
There are going to be State Visits a many in the coming months, with State Visits occurring in all three of the blog's feature countries.
Kongehuset.dk announced yesterday that the Queen and Prince Henrik will host the Brazilian President and First Lady on September 12 and 13 for a return State Visit (Margrethe and Henrik visited Brazil in 1999).
The Brazilian President will also pay a State Visit to the King and Queen of Norway between September 13 and 14.
The Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima will pay an Official Visit to the Slovak Republic between October 2 and 4.
Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik will visit South Korea between October 8 and 10.
Queen Beatrix, the Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima will pay a State Visit to India starting October 24; followed by the Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima's Official Visit to the Kingdom of Bhutan.
So there will be plenty of opportunites to see the royals in the coming months!!

Graasten Palace Photo Session
The annual photo session at Graasten Palace took place yesterday, with various family members turning up for the event. Those that took part included Queen Margrethe II, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Princess Benedikte, Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and girlfriend Carina Axelsson, Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and her two children, Count Richard and Countess Ingrid von Pfeil and Klein-Ellguth.
The family also watched the changing of the guards, and little Christian decided to march along with them! Another highlight was Christian's first-ever public tantrum (yes, it's true!).

Danish Royals at Legoland
Various members of the Danish Royal Family are today having fun at Legoland, while they enjoy their summer vacation at Graasten Palace. Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Prince Christian were there - while Princess Isabella slept not to far away in her pram closely watched by a nanny; and from photos, we can gather that Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, the daughter of Princess Benedikte and Prince Richard, joined them with her two children, Count Richard and Countess Ingrid von Pfeil and Klein-Ellguth.
And the photo session at Graasten Palace has been moved forward, from August 4th to August 3rd, which is tomorrow!

Harald Sailing in Palma de Mallorca
King Harald was in Spain, specifically Palma de Mallorca, last week and he participated in the Breitling Regatta, at the helm of the "Fram XVI" yacht.
Harald was a guest of the King and Queen of Spain, Juan Carlos I and Sofia, who spend every summer at the Spanish coastal town with their family.

Frederik & Mary outdoors at Graasten Palace
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary went horse and bike riding at Graasten Palace on August 1st. First they went for horseriding around the Palace grounds, followed by a nice cycle to cool down.
Billed Bladet also reports that Prince Christian, the couple's 21-month-old son, has been gradually introduced to horses and Frederik and Mary took him to the stables at Graasten to show him some horses.
